The importance of not reusing passwords

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

Now we've all heard the horror stories, maybe some of you have even lived through a personal cyber barrage, but when the proper precautions are taken it can be very difficult for low level cyber scum to snatch all of your accounts and passwords. It's very common for someone to use the same password, or even a slightly different variation of the same password, but just because it's common does not make it proper security practice. We live in the digital age now where your online identity and your actual identity are tending to coincide more and more every year. This is an amazing thing for convenience sake as well as overall productivity, however it also opens up a very large opportunity for cyber criminals to make a quick buck out of your online wallet. Data breaches are not uncommon for large corporations as we've seen from the likes of Canva, LinkedIn, eBay, and many many more. Data breaches from social media companies only affect you on a large scale if you happen to use the same password every time you create an account, giving hackers easy access to manipulate your entire internet life for their personal benefit. As a working human being you probably have enough things to worry about on a daily basis so you may not be able to keep up with every single public data breach, and that's okay seeing as most large corporations seem to handle breaches swiftly enough to save your account on that specific site, however

they cannot protect your entire online identity, that's up to you (with the help of our personal security software of course). Take a small yet very influential step towards personal security today by making sure that if you lose one account you're still confidently secured overall.
